International Master in Management of European Projects

Objectives

The period from 2007 to 2013 introduces radical changes, especially in case of Spain. Not only is that our country will receive less funding than in previous stages, but also new goals and priorities appear within the structural funds. We are at a stage where the amount of money probably will not be as important as the quality with which it is used.

To face this new period we have already started, we need a better understanding of the policies that promote these changes. And also a better understanding in general of the aspects to assess the presentation and implementation of a European project, so that it would be considered a quality project within both the structural and cohesion funds.

Therefore, we emphasise that this Master is not focused only on the development of projects, but also in the assimilation of structures and policies that lead to the realization of some specific actions. We understand that only this knowledge helps to develop quality projects that benefit the economic and social development in the 21st-century Europe.

  • Study in depth the functioning of the European Union, its structure, institutions, goals, activities, funds and policies.
  • Differentiate the sources of funding and the financial perspectives in the period 2007-2013, to include in it different projects depending on the actions they are to be performed.
  • Get to know various sources of information and the different steps for developing a project from planning to monitoring and evaluation.

In conclusion, the Master provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to know in depth the functioning of the European Union, its mechanisms, procedures and steps necessary for the formulation of projects suitable for these structures.
